SharePlicity ("we," "us," or "our") operates shareplicity.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, why we collect it, and what choices you have. It applies to shareplicity.com as a whole, including inquiries submitted about Summit Valley United, the nonprofit soccer club also featured on this Site.
We are not a data broker, we don't sell personal information, and we don't run advertising or tracking cookies on this Site. What follows is a plain description of the small amount of data this Site actually handles.
Information we collect
Information you submit directly. When you use the Reach Out form, we collect your first and last name, email address, company (optional), which service or topic you're asking about, your message, and whether you opted in to marketing communications. If you write to us by email directly instead, we receive whatever you choose to include in that email.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure (Microsoft Azure) logs basic technical information for security and reliability purposes, such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles, and we don't run any analytics or tracking scripts on this Site beyond what's described in our Cookie Policy.
Security verification. The Reach Out form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish real visitors from automated bots. Completing this check involves Cloudflare processing some technical information about your browser and connection. See Cloudflare's own privacy documentation for details on how they handle this.
How we use your information
- To respond to inquiries submitted through the Reach Out form, including questions about SharePlicity's services or about supporting Summit Valley United
- To send you marketing or promotional communications, but only if you explicitly opted in when submitting the form
- To maintain the security and reliability of the Site, including preventing spam and abuse
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling based on your information, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Who we share information with
We use a small number of third-party services to run this Site and process form submissions. We share only what's necessary for each service to do its job:
- Microsoft (Azure / Microsoft Graph) hosts this Site and delivers Reach Out form submissions to our inbox as email
- Cloudflare provides the Turnstile security check on the Reach Out form
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used across this Site; loading a page that uses these fonts causes your browser to make a request to Google's servers, which may include your IP address
- Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use this Site, but only runs if you accept it via the cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy for details.
We don't control how these providers process data beyond what we've configured them to do, and we encourage you to review their own privacy policies if you want more detail. We do not otherwise share your information with third parties, and we don't share it for their own marketing purposes.
Data retention
We keep Reach Out form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and maintain our own business records, and no longer than necessary for that purpose. If you'd like us to delete information we hold about you sooner, contact us using the details below and we'll take care of it.
Your rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights under applicable data protection law, including the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and request a copy of it
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Object to or restrict how we process your information
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent (for example, marketing communications)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, these rights are provided under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent UK legislation. International data transfers
SharePlicity is based in Virginia, United States, and the service providers listed above may process data outside your own country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on the safeguards those providers make available for cross-border transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
Children's privacy
This Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
